How does my grow look?

I have moved to the fruiting stage and I’m curious what y’all think of my progress/setup. If you see any contam please tell me what I should do. This is my first grow.
Also, how long until I should start seeing pins?

Idk about putting this in the fruiting stage yet but I doubt it would hurt anything tbh. They fruit when they feel like it and are triggered to do so by full colonization and FAE with some less influential triggers like light as well but mainly FAE and full colonization.
I’ve never cased my cubes so I’m unsure if they should look more colonized than what it appears to be but I would wait a day or two before considering it fruiting. I never really even change the environment when I go from colonization to fruiting. I just introduce FAE and they start to do their thing! 😍
Looks healthy regardless

there’s really no difference between the colonizing & fruiting stages. you can “fruit” from spawn as long as your sub doesn’t get dry. i do it all the time & so do many members here. your tubs look good to me & i’m sure you will start seeing pins in the next few days

It probably isn’t the best idea to try experimenting on my first attempt, but I read a few articles about how people skip the recolonization step and go straight into fruiting. Next time I’ll be a little more patient and see how the yield differs. Thanks for the input!

I try to make sure the mycelium “glistens” with moisture but there isn’t any puddling. I also run an air pump on and off a few times a day. Hopefully that gets the humidity and fae dialed in right.

Like some above said mentioned waiting for droplets on the surface. Either way when you spawn to bulk it’s put into fruiting conditions. It can end up stalling if surface conditions aren’t optimal favoring pinning triggers. There are different methods. So don’t regret what you did. Just keep learning. Good job though looks healthy, maybe get some better quality pics of the surface

Pins ETA in maybe 3-5 days. Looks good, next time you can skip the air pump. All FAE is passive, it's the heat rising off the substrate that moves air around and CO2 doesn't "pool" near the bottom.

Yea it definitely looks healthy.
I see a lot of people leaving it in fruiting conditions from start to finish. I may try that sometime but I like to keep the CO2 levels high during colonization. And then introduce FAE once it appears fully colonized.
In my experience that has caused much more even pinsets than when I’ve put a tub into fruiting conditions earlier than I normally do.

Even pinset can be all genetics if you’re using a spore syringe especially. If surface conditions are perfect, pins will come up however they want.

Looks a little dry there in those pics but you got some pins. If it’s looking dry and you aren’t having droplets on the surface give it a little mist. Don’t mist directly just into the air let it fall onto the sub lightly. 12/12 light cycle, and if you feel the light is heating things up move it away. The sub will generate heat on its own, and light doesn’t need to be close, just something for them to grow towards, not a heating source. If you’re room temp is between 68-80 they will be fine, going over that though is easy for contam to rake root at higher temps.
