Making my first tubs today - last minute question on Bod's Unmodified Tub Tek

Hey guys - a quick question before I make these tubs. I used bucket tek for my coir last night and the substrate is at 77-78degrees this morning.
Since Bod's tub tek calls for them to be immediately put into "growing conditions" as opposed to waiting for the substrate to colonize before introducing FAE and light, at what point do i introduce 12/12 light? right away?
also, do i put the lid upside down right away? or wait until it starts pinning?
please advise! thanks!

Yep right away. Light is beneficial for all stages of growth. I just let sunlight in through the window in my grow room, but light fixtures on a timer work great too.
Edit: And yes. Lid upside down from day 1

Thanks man! and my last question - what seems to be one of the most divided topics on here, liner or no liner? i understand if you dial in surface conditions, it's not necessary, but would you suggest it for a first time grow? thanks so much!

Liners are assumed helpful for two reasons based on what I've read.
1: To prevent side and bottom pinning (dont use a transparent liner)
2: Ease of moving the sub, just lift it up by the liner
Only "disadvantage" I can see to a liner, is that it will reduce visibility of the sides of the sub, which is helpful to follow the growth

You can use a transparent liner if you want. Liners prevent side and bottom pinning by making fruiting conditions worse on the sides/bottom, and hence preferable on the top. Has nothing to do with light.
