Problems fruiting brf

I had put several cakes in a sgfc to fruit almost two weeks ago. I had waited to see pins before birthing but they had all aborted and after harvesting the aborts no other growth has happened. I have since soaked them under water for several minutes, that was 4 days ago and still nothing. I have kept my fc at 70-80 degrees and 80-90%rh and fanned 3 times every day. Am I just being impatient or is this a possible contamination problem they smell fine and there is no discoloring beside bruising from when I birthed them.

I think I'm actually banned from this forum anyway, so maybe I should defer to someone who runs cakes. I mostly do bulk trays.

Ime it doesn't take weeks for cakes to fruit it takes a few days from full colonization to fruit formstion of cakes are in suitable environment. Many will disagree with me by stating misconceptions and talking without experience but I'll tell you that as a complete beginner your chances are very slim at achieving successful cake flushes using SGFC because IMO it's not at all a suitable environment for tropical mushrooms. The HC is as simple as it is effective, the exact opposite of thw sgfc. Extremely complicated and tedious to construct and equally tedious and complicated to get it to produce successful grows for beginners. When growers give you advice challenge them, ask them to explain their reasoning behind the advice don't just take everything for fact or truth, many posters mean well but they don't realize they're spreading misinfo that's not helping anyone thats new and looking to harvest fruits from their already hard work. That's where I come in. I say it like it is, possibly fail to sound like an immensely humble Munk as I do so thus catching shit for this and that and at the end of the day I was looking out for the new grower and not looking to be acknowledged as a politically correct and humble parrot. GL and looking forward to seeing you have success with whichever method you choose as long as you're not doing things you should avoid as a beginner like for example trying to impossibly accuire a deeper understanding about fruiting conditions so you'll be able to use the sgfc with relative success. So I say cakes should always go in the HC before one has a firm grasp on what a substrate wants and needs to produce mushrooms on command. Gl
