How much coco coir for 70qt monotub?

So I have been doing shoeboxes for awhile and everything has been great. I’m trying to branch out to monotubs just for the sake of experimenting and learning. I have 5-6 quarts of spawn ready, but most of my reading had been for smaller sized tubs so wanted some opinions. Bod said he uses like 30-50qt tubs and the 80qt was his least favorite, I note this just because.
I’m thinking I’ll wait for my other jars to colonized, and just spawn shoeboxes for now but what do you think?

Sorry I can't give you an answer, but I'm going to shoe boxes next week and thinking of using 30 quart tubs. What tek are you using for substrate and how many tubs are you getting made. And for that matter, what ratio sub to spawn? I'm trying to make tubs in one go and not have much sub waste.
Thanks and sorry to intrude!

30qt shoeboxes? I think mine are 6qt, I started with Mushboys shoebox tek. I use wild bird seed and it’s worked great but annoying to have to rinse it because it takes me like 20-30min a batch. I use either 1 quart spawn to 3 quarts coir/vermiculite or 2 quarts spawn to 2 quarts verm/coir.
I currently have 16 tubs going. The thing is if you want to have a bunch going you need to keep up with it and I havnt been, or I’d have more. Mushboys tek is simple.

I personally think a 1:1 ratio spawn/substrate is best, in my experience at least.

You can go with 1 brick coir spawned with 3 quarts grains in a 30L tub, no problem. Substrate depth 3-3.5". You guys can figure it out from there.

Aim for 1:1 coir:verm. For 70l tub i would use 650g brick coir and 650g verm and add about 100-150g gypsum, bring to field capacity. Use 3-6lbs of spawn (i have actually found using LESS spawn had better success). Dont pack down at all, just let gravity do it. Level it out with a stick/spatula. This will get you about 4" of substrate in a 70l tub. If you got it right you wont need to mist until first flush. I prefer the EZDial tub over Unmodified myself, but both are good options.

I use 72qrt tubs typically put in 2 or 3 fully colonized (3lb)grain bags. Then add your mixture of coir, I found it best to keep a high spawn ratio, and just don’t add to much coir going over 3-4inch height. That easy. But higher spawn ratio is typically better.

I am finding lower spawn ratios colonize and fruit much faster which also decreases infection rates. Went from 1:2 to 1:4. The subsequent flushes arent as big but comparable. Im losing less tubs this way (seem to be in a high spore load area). This could be just my particular situation, but if it aint broke dont fix it (for me at least).

I think its important to know the quantities though, in all aspects of a grow. At least until you have the experience to eyeball it accurately. Consistent results come from consistent measurements. It is probably the most forgiving part of the grow though, so it's not a big deal. I just like to quantify all variables. This way you end up with identical tubs, so when you are testing cultures side by side you can get accurate comparisons.
