Hello,
I have the opportunity to experiment with Panaeolus Cyanescenes for the first time and I have a few questions. First off, which is more potent, Cyans or Subs? I have heard that subs are generally more potent however Cyans have more psilocin content. What does higher psilocin content mean for the experience?
Cheers

I believe psilocin is the active compound that acts as the neuro transmitter that gets you high, psilocybin gets converted to psilocin in the liver.
Can't say which is stronger would depend on the batch which obviously varies. But a lot of people prefer wood lovers.

I have heard that the higher psilocin content makes for a faster come up and shorter duration. I also heard that the potency degrades as it has low psilocybin.

Psilocybin could be more stable but i would have no idea, most people store their shrooms in a freezer to stop any degradation anyway.
More psilocin would likely mean a quicker come up as the body wouldn't have to process it but again each batch varies slightly in potency and content. I would add too, that if fasting for say 5hrs and utilizing either tea or lemon tek method a p. sub (or any other psychedelic mushroom) trip can hit hard within 20mins and peak just over the one hour mark resulting in a shorter 5hr trip. I would say that is a pretty quick come up. Having food and drink however definitely lengths a trip and lowers its potency as the liver works overtime to process other nutrients.
If you're really keen to learn the difference try both;)

Los, I can confirm from what I've experimented with the freezer will keep very close to full potency for at least 2 nearly 3 years. Without freezing potency drops off at around the 6-10 month mark sometime quicker (from what I've found anyway).

I'm not saying it doesn't work I just haven't heard too many people put them in the freezer.

If you put them in the freezer you have to make sure that the bag / jar / whatever you put them in, is sealed completly airtight.
Pan cyans can be a lot more potent than subs. There are several different varieties of pan cyans, all with different potencies. Some are up to 5 times stronger than cubesis, so also a lot more potent than subs.
On average, pan cyans are 2 to 3 times more potent than cubes. Subs roughly 1.5 to 2 times. So cyans should be respected.
