Figueroa - The world as we know it

this is Amon Tobin's new pseudonym (he also releases his more hiphop-ish stuff as Two Fingers)

this is pretty new. released a week or 2 ago and an album should be out pretty soon.

great band with tons of great music. their last album came out in august 2019 and is full on thrash metal.

and this is from the album before that released april 2019

this one is using microtonal instruments.

i recomend paper mache dream balloon, mind fuzz, rats nest or nonagon infinuty for albums to start with

king gizzard is a very interesting band!
I listened to nonagon infinity and murder of the universe back then, and felt I couldn't keep up with the amount of stuff they were releasing.
it was all so concept heavy and musically complex I felt a bit intimidated, I'll have to check out the rest

murder of the universe os def hard to get into imo. I love the songs live but rarely listen to the album.

I recomend these albums

Gumboot soup

Mind fuzz

Paper mache dream balloon

Rats nest

Fishing for fishies

And all their kexp sessions on youtube. Their live songs are the best

Sonic Boom - All things being equal

I must have listened to this at least a dozen times and I keep getting surprised by the amount of layers and the way they're mixed. at times it sounds very dream pop and others gets kinda dub techno and ambient.
so hypnotic,
can't
stop
listening
:hypnotic:

Rad post dude.  Sonic Boom is so cool. He produces some really cool albums for other folks too.  I love Spacemen 3 and Spiritualized also with all my heart.

I havent listened to that album, I will check it out asap.

I bought this record (Healing is a Miracle) the other day, I love Julianna Barwick. Just looped out, voice driven, synthy ambient music.  Good shrooming music for me.

I produce my own music. It's nothing anyone would find interesting.

I think after i started producing i could no longer listen to new Artists but just good old already well established Musicians.

I remembered that Local H released the single "Innocents" late last year and completely forgot about the fact that they were releasing a new album.
Honestly can't believe that I've overlooked this as I love the band. They released the album in early April this year, I've only gotten around to listening to for the first time today.
