Unmodified Monotub Grow Journal, First Grow

Whats up everybody, absolutely stoked to have stumbled upon the wealth of information and content that the Shroomery has to offer.
I've recently started cultivating some Cubenisis mushrooms, and have 4 Unmodified Mono-tubs active.
Coco Coir, with gypsum, and vermiculite in the substrate
Approximately 1800grams of Grain Spawn went in to these 58 QT tubs
So far, things have been quite slow. I made the mistake of not introducing FAE until around day 10. These are now about 2 weeks old, and the first pins began showing about 5 days ago.
Have attached some pics, hoping i can get some feedback on a few questions.
1- I have some pins that are growing sidways rather than upward, why is this? Low o2?
2- These tubs are subjected to the light of a southern facing window for approximately 6-10 hours per day- is this enough to produce decent yields or am i essentially wasting efforts by not using a formal lighting setup
3- On one of the pics, you will see a couple pins that have a greenish/blueish section on them which i believe stems from when i accidentally dropped the lid inside as i was misting. Is this bruising or contam?
4- I am currently using the base feet that come with box fans as a method of venting the lids, is this sufficient? Their are fans in the room that circulate air, none is blown directly onto the substrate. I mist several times per day
Thanks in advance, and hope everyone is having a rad day!!

That looks amazing. I'm hoping to set up my monotubs (Spitfire's with the ironed polyfill over the hole because the SE = gnats if I don't. I HOPE I get a flush that pretty.

Look like they are doing great to start with. Good job And for some few things I did for my tubs, and a I some of your questions, I wouldn’t over mist, make sure water is evaporating at a good pace. They look good though no standing water is key. The fans I wouldn’t go to crazy just a room fan on low is enough circulation with the lid cracked about half an in or less. And additional FAE I fan sometimes if you notice fuzzy feet (white on the base of the mushroom) or open the lid a bit more. But I don’t ever have my fans in the room to high, don’t want them kicking up dust/contams to get into your tubs. They seem on schedule too, they will colonize and fruit at their own rate depending on surface conditions. The time it took seems normal to me, no matter what after you spawned to bulk they technically get FAE the tubs aren’t perfectly sealed all it does it put them into stalling conditions, and they will recolonize maybe a little slower, but I found it to be no harm. For a no hole mono I keep it shut until surface conditions are perfect then I start my misting and fanning process. Pins and fruits will grow which ever way they want where they want and can find space to grow. Don’t worry yourself on weird looking shapes and directions they grow. RR will tell you some of the biggest fruits are from your side pins and whatnot let them take their course. I do see some small veil breaking going on in your latest pics. But still too soon wait for them all to start opening up and skirts will drop a little. If your fruits stay a bit short add a little more fae
But enough of that, great job man keep up the work hope my 2cents kinda helps. If not refer to my unmodified/ no hole mono, I have a cool write up and experiment I did that turned out awesome. Can see some of which are in my pics. Currently have PES Amazonians atm which are looking great.

Hey man just wanted to say a big thank you for all your advice, i really appreciating the time spent!
I harvested one of the tubs today, and tried to use the floating harvest technique- had a spill and the block split in half. Did my best to maguvyer it back together but lol it might be dead- who knows may spring right back keeping my fingers crossed.
Yes that totally makes sense about waiting until fanning and misting- i think due to my impatience i will have 2 bins that basically just won't pin completely and will only fruit in areas that were well colonized prior to introducing FAE.
Also yes you were totally on the money with the skirts v.s veils. When i chopped some today i saw what a real veil break looks like and now know for future harvests what to look for and which ones to pluck. For this run, due to the lighting i think what i'll do is just "selective harvest" and pull ones that are mature or close to it and just leave the ones that aren't even close. Not the way it's normally done but man... trying to clean/dry the littles that i was pulling was insane hard work, learned another lesson there.
Will check out your post on Amazonianas, again thanks for the help man

You’re welcome, but bit of clarification on some things we mentioned. For fanning and misting a lot of people say you don’t need to blah blah blah, but only you know what your tub has going on so it’s a judgement call from the things you’ve learned whether or not it needs a little misting, a heavy one sometimes to help hydrate even, or a little fanning. But don’t mistaken your sub for needing a fan, when all it needs a little bit more of a crack on the lid for more FAE. Always try to keep surface conditions prime, with those little water droplets. Too much fanning or FAE will dry your sub and you’ll just be playing with it too much. From the looks of it just let them do their work, and keep conditions optimal. Some say it’s overrated but it works, I have proof so do many people. Just find what works for you and have fun with it. For harvesting your fruits they will come up together in what’s called flushes, and they typically break veil overnight while you sleep or something. Don’t hover and wait for each one to drop picking a few here and there. But don’t wait so long where all of them are having a spore party on your sub and turning it black. Anything that’s small that’s not a fruit (pin) leave those they are part of your next flush. Which is typically why you float to rehydrate your sub give it some energy. Just have to be gentle let it run down the corner of your tub til it fills up don’t let it run on the sub. And at this point normal bath water is fine there so much on these babies that we over cater too. Sometimes just have to think how they naturally grow. There are some good threads on how to properly pick them too. From gently twisting the base or using a knife. Up to you.
As for your broken sub if you go to my forums on my unmodified mono tub read through it I went through experiments on broken subs and it was a blast and gave me some of my biggest fruits. Got pics of it and all I even flipped them up on their sides, leaned them on the corner, set them on some pasteurized coir even. And have had all work. It eventually give out. But don’t let it fool you they can recover.
