Anybody tried steeping their mushrooms in tomyum soup? One of those soup in a cup stuff or instant noodle soup base?

I tried that using dried mushrooms and they taste delicious. So good I ate the caps too. The stems are still inedible sticks.

I read that some cubes taste like foot. Maybe this could make fresh cubes delicious. Give it a go.

Dude, tom yum paste makes anything delicious. I'd follow a regular recipe, adding the shrooms maybe 2-3 minutes before you turn the heat off so they don't get mushy. It won't be hot enough to hurt any actives, overcooked mushrooms are just not as nice to eat. If dry you could add them in the beginning or soak them in water for a couple hours first.
