Hi all,
First time poster, long time lurker.
This is my first unmodified mono tub. Can someone please have a look and tell me how it's going? I have noticed some colour change from white to yellow in some areas.
I am misting occasionally when it looks dry. This is from B+ spore syringe using Agar.
Ive had a look through the forums and was unable to find any specific helpful so apologies if this is a double post.
Looking forward to your replies.

I bet it also smells something else entirely and not mushroomy

No smell surprisingly, so I had left it for a while to see what will happen. Do you think I should bury it outside and see how it goes? Or straight to the bin.

Bury it as an experiment with zero expectations and see if a surprise is in your favor later on.

Lots of exposed grains? Was this intentional? Next time try layering or putting a top layer on if you are mixing. Spawn looks bacterial. Maybe too early? Was it 100% colonized?

It wasn't intentional - honestly didn't know what I was doing. Will definitely try a top layer in my future tub. Jars were about 95% colonised - they took like 6 weeks so wanted to give them a go. The spore syringes I have been using appear to be incredibly slow compared to time frames given on here. Mind you it is winter, but slow than I expected. I may try some other spores and see how they go.

There's your problem right there. You dont spawn incomplete jars because uncolonized grains will be eaten by competing molds and microbes immediately. If you can fish out the individual uncolonized grains, then maybe you have a better chance.
