My B+ fruits are all wearing hats
    #26861332 - 08/03/20 05:53 PM (3 years, 5 months ago)

I read a couple threads about this. No one seems to know WHY they grow like this, but everyone seems to agree that it is mushroom tissue. I assume they contain psilocybin. People especially have this issue with b+, which is what I’m growing. Is it like mushroom cancer? Unrestrained cell division? Who know? Not me.

No one seems to have it going on as severely and thorough as me. 33-50% of my mushrooms have these little white hats. Some of them are so long I’m half expecting a second cap to sprout on top. I can only assume it’s a genetic mutation, but what do I know?

I’ve had something similar. I think mine is from too high RH

My fruits get the little yellowish "warts" like the one in the middle when there's too much moisture. I think it's from condensation dripping on them or pooling. It could also be mutation but increased by some mild contam.

That would make a lot of sense. I didn’t use a casing and I have a problem where I mist when I see the sub is dry. I gotta learn to just leave it tf alone.

Looks like mutants to me, or some contam messed with it. Unless it decided to have a mycelium hat. But I don’t think it’d be from over misting, usually get aborts from the water not drying on the mushrooms. They can take heavy water fall and droplets, wild mushrooms get rained on all the time. But without enough FAE it won’t dry up. Never seen it do this though if that’s the case.
Try them let us know if they are still potent 😉
