Pressure cooker leaking

Hey guys. I've got some problems with my PC. It's an All American 21 qts and the problem is leaking from the lid. Picture shows the problem.
It started after about 2 hours of cooking and then the pressure started dropping. I was cooking 6 1 kg bags.
I did close the lid as equal as possible so I don't really know what went wrong. The lid doesn't have any damage at all. Neither the cooker it self.

Maybe the Sealing Ring went bad I would take it out and inspect it and even change it regardless to rule it out, they don't cost that much...

You can call AA and they'll walk you through a troubleshooting process to determine what part you need to replace.

There's no sealing ring. It's just metal to metal.

Have you greased the seal recently? Are you sure it was tightened all the way and completely level? I would say grease it before you use it again if you havent already.

I'm not from the US so I hope that won't be a problem when calling them
It's equally closed and tightened yes. I've never greased it, so maybe that could be it.

I use a drop of olive oil on the seal every time I use mine.

Extra virgin olive oil, vaseline, any petroleum jelly really will do. Not a lot just enough to leave a thin film.
I put some on a paper towel and run it around the lid and inside seal of the cooker

You should be good contacting them. They're very friendly and replacement parts are available in all continent's as far as I know. I had a similar problem with my brand new one and they explained that the aluminum will "cure" over time granted you lubricate the contact points with some kind of oil. I've noticed my leak(s) get better each time i use it, but they weren't nearly as bad as yours. Judging by the condition of yours I'd say it was stored improperly or dropped causing the metal to creep over time but there's a good chance it's salvageable. Good luck!

I see nothing here to make me think there is anything wrong with his pc other than the fact that he isn't using olive oil to ensure a seal.
OP, just put some oil around where the lid seals and you'll be good to go. If you don't have a user manual you can probably download one. It will tell you everything you need to know about your PC.

I'll try with the oil and see how it goes. Sometimes it's a bitch to get off after cooking so it might fix that too.
If it's not working I'll contact the company and hear what they have to say

My lid comes off easily as long as I take off the weight first.

I've got a few aa941's from 1983. They've never been oiled. Just crank that wingnut where it's leaking down tighter.

Never been oiled you say?
I do mine a handful of times a year. Definitely had to tighten my lid on a couple occasions where I thought it was all the way tight but wasnt

Nope. Not advocating to oil or not. Just saying I personally never have.

I wonder why they don't use a nitrile O-ring? it'll seal 15psig and 250F no problem. Aluminum is super easy to machine.

I'm guessing that the metal-to-metal seal is kind of their trademark.
