A 24-hour town

One thing that has spoiled me living in Las Vegas most of my life is the 24-hour lifestyle here. Whenever I go somewhere else it freaks me out that things close. And "last call" is something I could never get used to!! Here I am able to go to a bar at anytime. Any day of the year, any hour of the day. And there is always someplace to eat (and not just Denny's, just about any casino has a cafe that never closes. Not to mention the fact that most bars have really good food.). And most of your dance clubs/nightclubs won't wrap it up until everyone decides to go home (this is often in the morning after the sun is up).

And even if I want to go grocery shopping at 3 am I can. Thats right, the grocery stores never close. I often like to do my grocery shopping in the middle of the night. Its fun to be the only person shopping while all the workers are stocking shelves in the middle of the night.

Vegas is truly a city that never sleeps. The time of day is irrelevant here. Once inside a casino it is immpossible to tell what time it is unless you wear a watch (casinos have no windows and no clocks). I have lived in other places and I will never be able to get used to arranging my schedules around the time of day. When I wanna do something, I want to do it now!

Well I'm gonna have to check it out sometime. Is their a lot of other cool stuff to do besides gambling and hookers? Yeah man, you cant buy beer here after 2am, and if you're hungry after midnight, you're screwed. Except for 7-eleven  :stoned:

2 a.m.? CONSIDER YOURSELF LUCKY!!!! sheesh, you can't sell alcohol here after 9 p.m.! it's so weak.

Well there's the beer store, which is a warehouse full of beer. Awesome selection, awesome prices, they send out a flyer for their sales everyother week  :thumbup: They close at 10 on weekends. After that hour you pay out the ass for beer. You can buy at most kwik-e marts and gas stations until 2am. Its like $8-9 for a six pack of decent beer, like heineken or something. Then, if its after 2am, but before 4am, you can go into a bar before last call and buy six packs and cases of bud and stuff for hefty prices too. Thats the last resort beer run. You always want to stock up at the warehouse during the day to keep your party flowin  :smirk:

Man, wisconsin must be lame... That 70s show and all that cheese makes it seem cool.

it is a cool place...it's just gay that the liquor stores close at 9! especially with the breweries (sp?) in milwaukee!!! miller brewery is RIGHT here and we can't buy it after 9 pm, gosh!
