Obsessed or just weird?

Ever since I was a kid my mother would take me hunting for morels and I have been doing this for almost 30 years now but something different happened this past season that in my quest to find as many as possible I started to do more research into how and where and why the grow.
Its as if I've gone down an amazing and magical rabbit hole all things mushrooms! I want to identify each and every one I find. I have gotten so much mushroom growing equipment now that I basically have an entire room full and have considered turning half my garage into a hobby grow.
I even find myself stopping and picking mushrooms from other peoples yards. Ive found Chanterelles, Destroying Angels, Giant puff balls, and even Reshi just as I'm driving. Lol I may be obsessed!

The whole time I'm in the car, I'm scanning peoples yards, empty lots, businesses, etc for mushrooms. It's an obsession of the highest kind for me
I even jump out, and run up into peoples yard to get at them too!
So no, it's not weird, but only just a good obsession

Yea.. the other day I walked up to a stranger in their yard, asked them if I could pick the big chicken of the woods that was at the bottom of their oak tree, explained to him how the best way I’ve found to eat them, and the differences between them and jack-o-lantern pumpkins. He was clearly unamused and so was my family waiting in the car lol. I just couldn’t help myself it does borderline on obsession/addiction to learn and want to teach others the minutiae of mushrooms, but it is futile most of the time. But hey I had a delicious lunch that day :-)

I confess, I'm a dangerous, distracted driver anytime mushrooms are fruiting heavily or happen to catch my eye.
