Coconut coir PF Tek Variant. (NEED ADVICE)

Hello everyone!
English is not my main language so please bear with me.. So I did some BRF cakes with coconut coir, made sure it was damped enough and even let the coconut coir sit on boiling water for a looooong while. Ground ready.
Anyway, my jars are growing the Cubensis mycelium and for the past two weeks it's been growing without issue. But I now feel like it's growing way slower and I worry I could be due to the jars now being dry compared to how they started... The mycelium had colonized about half of the jar, and its looking real nice, but growth stopped about a week ago..
I was thinking of getting some distilled water and a syringe and try and wet the jar up a bit, but I'm afraid that's going to bring in contaminants or something.
Any advice on this?
Regards.

I wouldn't do that, I'd just wait.
They may be contaminated already and you just can't see it yet, which is why its slowing down...you will almost surely get contams if you add water now, and its not likely they are too dry, how big are the holes you used for tyvek? Its more common for jars to be too wet than too dry ime.

thank you for the reply holybullshit.
We have three holes as big as a regular syringe. They're covered with 2 layers of micropore tape. I have one jar that shows no progress at all. I could open it and check inside to see how damp or dry it is?
Thank you for you valuable information and sharing it.

probably stalled. I'd bet you packed it in there too tight or it was too wet and ran out of air towards the bottom of the jar. Happens aloy with pf teks.

Don’t open the jars until they’re 100% colonized. Cube mycelium is pretty strong once 100%. Also you may not want to ever open contaminated jars inside your house/near your grow. The reason being is, if the cake is moldy, and you open it inside, then it’s already sporulated (throw mold spores) all over you, your hands and clothes, your house/grow area. After that it will need a deep clean or expect further grows to be contaminated. Just wait until they fully colonize.

If they haven’t fully colonized in like 4-5 weeks then you can probably assume they’re contaminated/bacterial. Most of my jars are fully colonizing right at 3 weeks/21 days
