This post is currently under construction, trying to get these images to display.
Check these out:

Looks like it'd be SLICK inside the fruiting room. Why don't I see people here using these? They look kinda like the bottles but bigger and disposable, I just never see them here and I'm considering switching over to them.
From what I understand this is a popular cultivation method in Thailand, where they ferment the sawdust before steaming for 12 hours, then they do open air inoculation with sterile spawn.

Mushroom collars get them off Alibaba. You will need to talk to a supplier they most likely don't have them listed but will have a supplier and resell to you or they do have them themselves.
Substrate is fermented with sugar. Wheat bran is also added. Mixed for a few days while at moisture content. Bags are tightly packed. To the point they are solid. They are than steamed for 12 hours.
They use latex free rubber bands to hold the neck to the bag. These must be tight as they use open air inoculation of these bags. Filter is either laundry lint or cotton.
They use clear beer bottles as their spawn bottles. After these bags cool. In open air they flame sterilize the neck of of the bottle let it cool a little and dump a little spawn in each hole. Enough to cover the hole. Put the cotton back on and keep moving down the line. After all bags are completed they put the news paper back on.
You don't get side pins as the bag is so tight. Periodically they will tighten the bags as the substrate shrinks during fruiting. Will get 4-5 harvests before chucking the bag.
I was doing this for awhile. It was working fine. Had a less than 2% contamination rate with open air. Could have been around 1% or lower it has been too long.
I worked with these on a Thai farm in Thailand. I was also doing it for awhile in the US before I ended up moving for work. I might start growing again since I am in the market for a house.
keep in mind you maximize room but your prep time for each bag goes up. While I was packing these bags Id smack them with a glass bottle to compress them. Time reduction is when you don't need to work in front of a hood for the inoculation. The bags are a lot cheaper. Uline has some workable bags.
The fermentation is easy. Just get sugar water and maybe yeast. Turn the pile of sawdust once a day water if needed. 2-3 days your good if you added a little yeast.
