Dreaming of larger yields

Hello friends, starting to get repetitive with my growing and feeling like my flush #s aren't high enough for my experience and what i am doing. These are some things i want to try to change and i'm wondering if anyone has any further suggestions or advice on these changes. Long story short i am using a simple coir verm gypsum mixture for sub, no casings, wbs for myc growth and a sub depth of about 2.5 inches per 55 liter tote with 6 poly filled holes.
1. I want to experiment with pouring about 10 cups of brewed coffee in with the coco coir while it is hydrating just to add some extra acidity because i feel my substate is super base in ph due to the natural well water i am using. Anyone ever try this?? I read this in some old RR notes. 2. I want to experiment using a deeper substrate depth near 4 inches to hopefully add more notes for larger fruits. 3. experiment with adding a casing layer as i have never used one except some wax paper over the top back in the day.
any info would be great! thanks for reading

Coffee and deeper subs will not give you larger fruits.
Cloning for desirable traits and proper conditions will give you larger fruits...usually.
Post pics of your current setup.

i have a buddy who's growing exactly like me same strain and all (as he got it from me from a print) and he's using like 4-5 inch depths and pulling out insane monsters weighing half oz dried with literally the same setup, i am baffled as my flushes are around 2/3 oz first flush. my reasoning for deeper sub is more nutes which could equate to the larger yields he's getting over me. i have messed with agar cloning but id be lying if i said i know exactly what im doing there. I know to select for more rope like strands and try to get less sectoring that could be wrong but thats what i think i know. ill go snap some pics here in a bit and show you.

Larger sub would have more water but that’s it.
Plate work and clones is the way to go for sure. A lot of the clones I’ve done have had pinsets twice as thick as the ms tubs they came from.
Those tubs don’t look dialed in well. Seems to need more air for sure and maybe some mist.

How much spawn using per tote, increasing spawn ratio will increase your flushes I like around 6-7qts but the genetics is the biggest factor.

I agree about the fae and moisture. starting to realize this. You have any advice or teks to follow for cloning? I use tissue to agar to inoculate my wbs but have no clue how to select sectors and move more desirable myc onto new plates to try to refine a strain.

hmmm i use only 4 quarts of spawn which really is about 3-3.5 as the jars of wbs aren't filled to the top. I use those 3-3.5 qs of spawn with around 5.5 pounds of coir verm gyp per tub
