Anyone else had a retrospectively bad trip?

I had a fairly intense trip yesterday that had me laughing and enjoying myself for the duration, feeling enthralled by the revelations I was having and excited to put them into practice, but as the trip ended, the revelations started feeling really hollow and meaningless, like I got nothing concrete from the trip except the sensations. Even those sensations felt embarrassing looking back. I spent the rest of the day feeling really drained and embarrassed by the trip and went to bed fairly sad, like I had expected too much from the trip and ruined it for myself.
I did a lot of valuable introspection about how I felt afterward, and I feel like the experience was beneficial the way bad trips often seem to be: by showing me flaws in my attitude and mental approach to life.
Now I'm wondering if this is common. Has anyone else had a trip that felt great for the full duration and couldn't really be called a traditional bad trip, but ended up being a bad memory or embarrassing in retrospect?

Guilt about enjoying yourself. I think that happens pretty often, but allow yourself to enjoy it without analyzing it all to fuck.

I have seem to have tons of self doubt on the comedown - I doubt, and get anxious about things that I wouldn't even give a second thought while actually tripping or in everyday life. It's a really odd sensation. I've now learned to meditate through it or ignore it. It usually passes after I get back to baseline - it's just that weird inbetween phase that makes me doubt everything.
Last time I tripped, I used those few hours to make sure I wrote down my insights and experiences and that did seem to help.

I tend to get this feeling when I’ve had a relatively intense spell of frequent tripping. Once I take a break, it ebbs away. DJ Ed

There is a part of your brain known as the posterior cingulate cortex that is centrally located within the default mode network. This is the site of our executive function were we plan and exercise our own will. It links what happens to us (the past) and what may happen to us (the future). Think of it as the editor of our own perception of self and the world around us. The default mode network is were our ego resides. The ego is basically our editor that tells us, "it will be ok/it's not ok". Think of the ego/ default mode network as our body guard that that ensures we continue to survive, reproduce at any cost; even if we have to lie to ourselves to push on. It is a tug of war of past and future, psychedelics and meditation put us into the state of the present (now).
Under the influence of psychedelics the default mode network is suppressed to various levels of degree known as, "ego dissolution". Basically speaking; we get a 3rd person view of ourselves and our ego takes a back seat. Old repressed memories can resurface that the ego has suppressed and we get a new take or fresh, real time view on things/ourselves.
Basically this why many do psychedelics for the self improvement side of things; to tear down the walls of our own lies and question everything. To be in the now. The most important lesson is forgiveness of others, and most importantly: yourself. Face your fears and never run from them, learn from them in hopes to gain a better understanding. We are only human. Bright side is at least ya know you have a conscious and are ware of your actions that effect you and others around you which means you're not a psychopath or full blown sociopath.
Work with what has been revealed about yourself, nothing odd or strange about it.

I think in these situations it is important to remember not to label experiences and just be aware of them.
