The summer of 900 grams (fresh) PE tea...a journal of sorts

Covid-19 lockdown, Trump misadministration, what's yer poison - it's been way too long since I've been tripping regularly in the summer sun and I've still got a large amount of tea in the freezer, and a case of insomnia :

This all starts here, a couple days ago, but the experience was so...welcoming...that I'm looking at using that stash up before new crops appear. Updated as time and inclination allows.
For the sake of the story, here's the trip report portions from last Thursday to kick it off:
PE Journal 7-30-20
This is the first real trip I'm trying off the PE I grew earlier this year. Here's what 40 g fresh weight looks like made this way:

Taken with an apple juice chaser and some crackers five minutes ago and already there's some effect...
Off we go!
PE Journal 7-30-20
Well holy shit, that was something.
Perhaps not the best of the lot in storage as I went for half of a small flush (see below), but with tea in the fridge from about a lb of fruits I think there's a lot more fun to be had.
Amazing visuals even in the sun and one hell of a musical ride (Hendrix, Valleys of Neptune). "Sunshine Of Your Love" was unvarnished incredible beyondness but I really started losing it around "Red House."
Only had a couple hours between eating and onset which wasn't ideal, next time I'll get an earlier start and maybe add about 10%.
It's so good to be back...
PE Journal 7-31-20
These particular ones were on the low end of PE scale. I have tea from 4 strains and one of those in particular stood out in eating tests.
It goes to show that isolation can both improve and degrade the potency - words to the semi-wise.
OTOH perhaps it just really takes more than I expect to get the effects I want. I could have done half again as much and been twice as happy - glad I went for the 40 and not the lower end this first time though.
But the day after now I feel really good - renewed and refreshed, even happier than usual.
Some of what I feared would come up strongly (several deaths since the last time I tripped, the whole corona virus thing, etc) just weren't a problem. It was like coming home, as many people as well as myself have often said.
It also has really motivated my desire to work more actively towards legalization. Everybody should feel free to experience these marvelous fungi without worrying about legalities. =====================================
The most interesting side effect and well worth mentioning (I know others have before) is that my eyesight has gone from really good to basically perfect. Considering how fucked up it was during the height of the trip this is pretty impressive.
PE Journal 8-1-20
My general experience has been that it continues for some time, as it is doing now. And if that time is less than the time between trips then the benefits are pretty much constant. Vision still obviously improved, colors remain more vivid (this is an effect I always get). Brain seems to work better as well and more relaxed than usual. Tactile senses are also improved and remain so.
All this is compared to a baseline of not having consumed any at all since early in the year (and that just eating small qtys to test), and not having actually tripped in years before that due to various issues including crop failures.
Also weed seems to be potentiated which is interesting as well.
====================================
So what I'm noticing yesterday and today is a pervasive sense of well being. It owes nothing to any external circumstances (save the trip two days ago), it just exists.
It's interesting to manifest this into the world at large.

I'm contemplating the next dose for sure. I didn't get as deep as expected with the first trial, and I'd rather end up gobsmacked then just smacked. But then it was a test-of-the-waters as it'd been quite a while. However now I'm more than eager to go.

The powers that be conspired to prevent me from trippping on 5.4g Amazonian tea last night; I’m going to stop advertising when I’m going to trip, as this year not a lot has fallen into place.
Next time, I’ll tell you AFTER I’ve tripped

PE Journal 9-1-20
Sadly neglected posting to this journal. But haven't neglected tripping, with about 4 or so in the last couple weeks (to be anotated). Some very interesting things have happened along the way which I'll try to fill in about.
A warning that coming up to speed on what I'm working with is a steep climb, I'll try to get it all laid out over time, but if you read this post you're basically just being tossed in at the deep end of an ongoing project with no glossary to help you out again.

Well OK, here's one: in here "superposition" refers to an observer-less state in which multiple realities coexist and really weird shit happens right in your face.
You can find out more about the ongoing experimental work and underlying theory in my journals, but they aren't in any particular order...
Today's dose was about 70 g (fresh) after a week off, with more documentation equipment taken on-board, but a major shroomed user failure in actually being able to make use of it correctly. Well, there's Thursday or Friday to fix that. In the meantime I'll try to fill in the gaps.
Here's a pic of the documentary setup at this time - MP3 player, Linear PCM recorder, new Grado phones with open mesh earpieces (for that special leaky sound), y-splitter and a cable:

This is intended to work as a test device to attempt to record sound from the headphones that shouldn't exist on the MP3 file (sourced from CD) but nevertheless appears during high dose tripping.
User error intervened to spoil a perfect example - last track on REDACTED is REDACTED and apparently it runs only a few minutes. I heard at least 10 minutes of extreme REDACTED studio work, possibly more, before a fadeout and when the next CD on the player came up. I thought it had to be what was on the CD because using the splitter directly off the MP3 player and feeding into the PCM recorder didn't affect it. (See notes on superposition states somewhere else.)
Unfortunately I had the cable plugged into the wrong jack on the recorder - I'd totally spaced that on the Tascam the line input sits in-between those two swiveling mics and can't easily be seen when they're parked. I'd plugged it into the output jack just like in the pic. Also I used it wrong, hitting only the record button (once to monitor, twice to record - hit it again and it goes back to monitor) - you have to hit stop to save the track. Yeah these are complete bonehead mistakes but it's usually something like that that gets in the way. So now I know.
Upshot was when I went to listen back to what I thought I'd recorded there were no soundfiles on the recorder. So fucked.
Finally I thought to listen to it again so with a lot of trouble I cued up near the end of the album into REDACTED and listened to it again. There was nothing like what I'd heard actually there at all. Huge clue, and the default situation as well.
HOWEVER!!!!! This was a solid hit, even if only a fly ball.
What I heard today was fucking amazing, it blew me away completely, it had complete fidelity to existing REDACTED studio work, AND I stopped and started it at the player with no continuity glitches of any sort - which attests to it being real in some fundamental sense, wherever it was coming from. Because, yeah, hallucinations just don't stop and start on command.
The plan is basically to bring the recorder mics close to the headphones while recording to test the fidelity, and if that doesn't destroy the superposition state then to plug the MP3 player direct into the PCM recorder - when I've done that before the superposition does collapse.
I have the parts to build a pair of big-ear remote mics that can sit at a distance and focus in on the headphone emission once I have some sort of confirmation, but that's mostly to map out what sort of fidelity can be externally recorded before the superposition collapses.
Anyway, this journal is not the place for skeptical comments, I can get those any time of the day anywhere. This journal is just for writing down WTF is going on as it happens and getting it out into the world. So yeah, more to come, and stay tuned.
Thanks for reading!
REDACTED is to protect the experimental protocol if you were curious. I'll put the sources in again later.

PE Journal 9-4-20
100 g fresh tea around 2 pm, this was the single most intense experience so far, and actually one of the most intense trips I've had in a very long time.
I probably should have had a lot lighter breakfast, but live and learn.
The experimental protocol is evolving, I'll describe it in more detail later (tomorrow perhaps) but here are some pics of what I built to facilitate capturing music from the overlapping realities, just sort of a teaser with no explanations:

Got that done in time for today but prior to starting the trip had a protective part I was making to add to the headphones go missing in the garage, so I gave up and just used it as was. I'll be revising this particular device heavily based on today's experience, but it basically got the job done with decent fidelity (as tested anyway).
So, short version: this time there was no user error. But extremely strange things happened in the course of the trip, and the device as used failed to return what I recorded - in the sense that what apparently ended up in its storage (in this reality anyway) was for the most part not what I intentionally recorded but turned into random bits of stuff that I actually did not record, by the time I could operate the computer and loaded it into Audacity. I still need to go over the captured data to sort it out as it was still "changing" when I first looked at it.
So yeah that's really interesting in a very confusing sort of way.
I'm writing this now even though I'm totally beat (100 g! god damn that shit rocks!) so that I'll be encouraged to work on it over the weekend.
Happy trails.

So if I understand this somewhat correctly, you are recording the sound from your headphones because what you hear shouldn't be there and you suspect it actually is? Why don't you use like audacity on the computer to record what it is playing, or is there something I am missing (the whole lot probably)
Thanks for the reports on these back to back high dose experiments! Just maybe watch out for what happened to McKenna and his brother in true hallucinations

Short answer - because it doesn't work like that. If it did it'd be entirely different, and ordinary.
Just stay tuned, much more to come as soon as the wildfire smoke currently raining ash down on my part of the usually gorgeous Willamette Valley dissipates. It looks like Apocalypse Now outside.
FWIW I've been through all this kind of stuff on repeated high doses many times before and it doesn't bother me at all. What's different this time by design is that I'm implementing new methods to capture it, but they have to go step by step and I don't necessarily know what that is in advance.

On Sunday I recorded myself talking during the peak for the first time. It was awesome listening to it afterwards, but I should have recorded more. You know I thought it would be harder to put my thoughts straight into speech by myself, but when I was tripping there was nothing difficult about it. I could speak out loud all the thoughts I had. That was awesome. I am going to be recording much more now in the future. I even caught a sycnhronicity on record, but I didn't describe the experience, just the "woah.. this just happened when I thought about that". Previously I recorded myself playing guitar, but this is the new way to go. Record the whole thing!

Yeah it certainly works - I've done month's worth of trips recording the narrations of a series of science fiction books I'm writing - I get about an hour after the peak and then my work is done there, on to enjoying the rest of the trip. It's a powerful focusing tool.
