How many days old is that lc? I still haven’t made one with pans but I bet it colonizes super quick.
Speaking of plants, I saw a thing claiming they can hear. The people said they played the sound of a river running off to the side and the plants grew towards it.

The world is mysterious man. Crazily so. I tripped on acid once with my Venus fly traps and a sundew plant. Unfortunately I still wasn’t able to communicate with them but I like to think they were able to enjoy the ride.
Some nipply TOC. I’m not super impressed with these except for their speed. I’ve got some clones though to try out and a cross I wanna make with them

I’m not sure demonstrating a thigmotropic response to physical damage is the same as feeling pain. Plants lack a nervous system and pain sensations are a defensive mechanism for most animals with a nervous system. This helps them avoid damage by feeling the pain and instinctively moving away from the danger. I don’t think plants emitting ultrasonic frequency’s when damaged is the same.

Not just a nervous system, but specefically a prefrontal cortex.
Our understanding of pain in mammal brain processing requires the animal to have a prefrontal cortex as well as receptor nerves responsible for transmitting pain stimuli.
Plants may elicit a measurable response but likely is nowhere near what we think of as pain

Seeing as plants dont have a limbic system, I doubt that have many emotions as we know them

I mean have you seen those experiments where they have two plants side-by-side and they have people be really mean and say hateful things to one plant and then say nice things and tell the other plant they love it? I’ve seen a few different articles on such experiments and if they really didn’t tamper with the plants it does appear to make a noticeable difference in the plants health

I dont claim to be an expert, but plants cant understand human language.
If I said hurtful things in a nice voice what would be the outcome? If I said nice things in an angry tone?
Were there multiple tests run on multiple species? Were the 2 plants genetically identical so we know they operate the same based on the amount of co2 they get from the persons breath as they talk?
Lots of questions that need answers

I’d say it’s the intent and energy that matters. I think you would also have to believe it would actually make a difference or else the plant would know you’re just messing around, or it would receive random energy waves and not give af.
Just some random thoughts. I don’t have an even remotely definitive view on stuff like this. Think about how sure people were about the earth being the flat center of the universe at one time or man “made” electricity being different from the natural electricity of GAWD.
We feel like we’re the pinnacle of human achievement so far but this may have happened many times so far, here and there. We may be in a simulation where certain people see and experience things differently than others. Different truths.
I like to think on things and it’d be cool to have answers but I fear it’s uncertainty in most things, all the way down.

This is a mix tub of equal parts B+ Gulf Coast and APE
I also ran across this recently and took clones, perhaps I can replicate these, though they were sporeless completely. The breed is AA+
