Left over hydrated coir/verm?
    #26855582 - 07/31/20 01:45 PM (3 years, 5 months ago)

Hey all,

Wondering if any of you are left with extra hydrated coir/verm when growing bulk tubs. I followed the 50/50 tek and for some reason have loads left over. Fairly new to this. Will it mold up? Any suggestions on how to keep the hydrated substrate good for two weeks while my next grain jars colonize? Thanks

Two weeks is a while but they should be fine if you cover them with foil. Your biggest worry is about if they will stay hydrated for that long.

Coir is actually VERY contamination resistant. Just keep it somewhere cool and clean, just to be safe.

Once i forgot the leftover for 4 weeks,
rehydrated and worked.
You may also dry it in the oven for storage.
But is it worth the effort?
Or the risk to fuck up a big mono
for bad coir?

Cool. Yeah I guess it might not be worth the risk. Good to know it worked for you guys though.
