Hello Shroomery, I currently am utilizing a turkey burner for grain prep and sterilization, but it leaves a tremendous amount of soot on everything. Can anyone suggest some brands of single or multiple propane burners that folks are utilizing that doesn’t make everything black? Thank you, have a nice Friday!

Are you able to clean or service your burner? It's probably just dirty. I'd look into that before purchasing a new burner.

^ definitely check to see if theres any residue build up thats causing the soot. Otherwise, this is what I currently use without any soot issues : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001D32QK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Bought it when my stovetop took a crap and decided to keep using it. Gets me outside and don't have to hear the rattling from the PC indoors.

As the great Hank Hill once said " there is soot under my boys fingernails. You don't get that from clean burning propane I tell ya hwat". If there is soot you might not be burning off the gas efficiently in the first place.

It was a cheap shitty Thanksgiving special and as far as I remember it has always done that. Any experience with the Camp Chief double burner?

Just run your burner properly and the problem will be solved. Soot is bad means you're doing something wrong
