Mother plant issues
    #26854904 - 07/31/20 07:54 AM (8 days, 14 hours ago)

I've lost 2 mother plants, i just clipped 5 clones and next day completely wilted, I've never had these issues not sure what i'm doing wrong. even re potted thought soil was to old and bam dead 2 days. Maybe i'm not letting her recover? or she isn't old enough? only a 3 month old.

Probably stress. Especially if you cut then transplanted. I've never cared for mother plants myself just never seemed worth the effort when I can just propagate from clippings from regular pruning. At least you've got the genetics still.

When I grew, one of the things the gurus told me was not to do too much all at once. It can take a week for a plant to recover from re-potting, I killed my harvest on a couple autos that way my first grow.  Someone once told me to trim no more then 1/3rd of the plant at one time.  I'd always take my cuttings from the growth out of the nodes, if I ever topped a plant it was only the very tippy top of the plant, I'd say no more that a dimes worth of growth where the stem was thick toothpick diameter. Anyhow, this is all just what I remember, not the gospel... I miss growing but never had the space to make it worth it.

Trimming your plant shouldn't kill it.

Something else happened.

IDK, re-potting it and trimming it your essentially breaking the straw at both sides, I could see the disruption impairing the capillarity action that keeps the plant hydrated.  But without seeing the dead plant it's hard to tell, dehydrated plants are pretty easy to pick out.  But you could be right, something else could have happened.
