Fruiting chamber conditions
    #26854885 - 07/31/20 05:13 AM (3 years, 5 months ago)

Hey guys,
So my first grow is almost to the fruiting portion and I don’t want to mess it up.
I broke up my cakes and ,iced them in with a bulk substrate followed by a solid later of the substrate on top.
The mycelium is colonizing good but I’ve noticed it has water on the lid/sides. My question is if that is okay. This was a grow kit from a very trusted source and I have not added any misting yet because of the fear of having water pooling up.
My humidity/temp gauge says 99% / 74 respectably.

Post pictures for info please.
No one can give you advice on humidity/temp toy values,
that arent`t related to your surface,
so forget about them.
If you feel comfortable in your room, cubes will also.
Humidity control by your eyes on the surface.
Look my links in the signature.

Welcome by the way!

Yea, those look fine. How long have they been colonizing?

So originally I bought the jar kit and inoculated them planning on fruiting them in the cake form. It took a long time for the jars to fully colonize ( a month or more ). I last minute decided to mix those cakes in with some bulk substrate I bought at a 50/50 ratio with a layer over the mix. The bulk has only been colonizing for about 3 days.

I’m not sure if this slowed down the jars from colonizing but I left the foil on them. The tub is only allowing fresh air through the loose seal between the tub and the container itself and is making steady progress.

Yes it may stall if you don't allow enough gas exchange.

Very fast for 3 days,
keep an eye on.
But really good looking

Looking good my dude, have you cracked the lid for FAE?

Other than that it looks like you’ll see pins in a few days for sure. 👍

EDIT: I really like that light/lid setup!

I thought the lid worked because there wasn’t a perfect seal? I’ll crack it some if it needs more air
