Just smoked my first cigarette

Couldn’t sleep so I went to the next town over for some booze and apparently you can’t buy alcohol before 7am. Figured I’d already went 15 miles out so I might well try something new. Man I don’t get how people can do this, I’ve smoked hundreds of blunts but the throat burn is way different. I basically just puffed it like a cigar. I know it’s the same thing but the shit is so much nastier than wraps lol.

There you go, it's not worth it as you found out. Now don't do it again.
Seriously, this is one addiction that you can easily pass on while you're ahead of the game and it'll save you a lot of fuss later on.

First impressions are often right.
It's one of the most insidious and addictive drugs that exists. Kills millions of people every year and they don't even get high in the deal. Fucken nasty shit.

Strange, I find pot smoke to be way more cough inducing than cigs. To me the burn of a cig is satisfying the same way spicy food is.
Did you draw the smoke into your mouth to cool it before inhaling?

Guess I belong to our lord and savior now. It’s alright guys I tossed the rest when I got home, just wanted to see what it was like. Most of my uncles smoked when I was young and I’ve seen first hand how it can affect people.Quote:

Not a fan of cigarette tobacco, once in a blue moon I might smoke one if offered while drunk but I don't find the taste enjoyable at all.
These I do like the taste of:

Pipe tobacco can taste nice as well.

I have to vape for the rest of my life, I quit ciggerettes years ago, traded them for a vape, vaped for 3 years but was getting tired of the hassle and decided to quit vaping, I tapered my nicotine in half every bottle till I was at 0mg/ml was vaping 0mg for about a month or 2 then I somehow started smoking cigarettes again, so I switched back to a 6mg vape for a couple months and decided to quit again, I did the same thing tapered down to 0mg and then this time in less then a month I started smoking again, so I switched back to a 6mg vape again, im tapering again, im down to 4mg but this time im not going to taper lower than 1mg, once I taper to 1mg im going to vape it for life, at 1mg a 65mg, $25, 120ml bottle of nicotine should last me a while, maybe a few months or so, IDK

Hear you!
I use pure nicotin in a bag. Similar to snuss . But not topacco but pure nicotine. Most harmless way to get nicotine in my system that I have found. Have quitted opiates, alprazolam after 10+ years but nicotine is a bitch

Nah, just saying that most of shamans have topacco in their toolbox for reason. Considered most powerful plant ally by many of them. Even the ones working with yage say that topacco is their source of power.
Harmine is anti cancer btw.
The trick to make this holy plant as cancer stick is one of very cunning and evil.
P.s. I really feel that the copious amounts of cigarettes smoked by mental patients is mostly trying to self medicate and balance.

idk mapacho is not that toxic. Neither is rape. Marlboro is pure poison imho.
I dont smoke daily anymore. And agree that cigs are bad for you. But pure tobacco is not listed as pure evil in my books. Abused daily it is def not good for you. Powerful medicine when used right IMHO.

Don’t get me wrong, I like a strong tobacco a couple times a year. The effects are short lived - but unique and supremely blissful. Like blasting off into space without a body / zero g’s for 5mins.

It's been years since I quit, and I still get cravings every day. I would smoke all day every day if I could. If I found out I had a terminal illness, the very first thing I would do is to go out and buy a carton of cigarettes, no joke. That's how addictive they are. I wish I had never touched them. Out of all the drugs I've ever done, nothing even remotely compares to how addictive cigarettes are.

Quitting opiates a walk in the park!? Holy shit. For me, tobacco was the least miserable thing to quit, even gentler than caffeine which gave me severe headaches. The problem was just that it had so much mental control over my desires to be free from it. Plus it's a lot easier and quicker to have a cigarette in your hand than to consistently have 65 extra bucks a day and a steady supplier as a heroin addict.
Both substances caused me and others a lot of needless suffering. I miss the strange dreams that come from being near death but that's about it. Some might find artistic inspiration from opiates or cleansing from tobacco before ceremonies, but for a westerner with a propensity towards quick fixes and bad habits, whatever gains were overshadowed completely by the aches and sickness of both.
My rule now is that I won't do any substance unless the rewards come after. Every trip I get an uncomfortable, challenging come-up, followed by a blissful and healing plateau.

I would try that stuff but I don't I'd be using it for the same reasons a shaman might. My past nicotine addiction would likely come into play. Fulfillment and completion can be attained without, i hope.

Cigs are nasty. Some years ago out at bars I would bum one. I would smoke half a cig and no matter what the next day I would be hacking as soon as I woke up.
Reds are hot smelling cigs. Parliaments are gay. Anything menthol feels destructive. They all stink the same way tho

I threw some seeds in the shade.
My first time to the shade was when I harvested
and I knew that I was not alive, and not was I dead.
It had to do with washing my hands and waking up in this life !
And soon it was all like a past life experience.

Yeah I agree that you should toss them and not look back. Its so much easier. Once you get hooked you realize they're terrible but you're mind convinces you to pick up another pack just one more, but before you know it years and years keep going by and your mind is playing the same game rationalizing that it's ok to just buy one more pack.

Hollywood is great at advertising cigarettes. Only time I ever consider smoking again is when I'm watching a movie; luckily, I just say "fuck that shit, fuck that shit, fuck that shit". My personal mantra for quitting. Has worked for over a year now.
