Need to paint over silicon
Normal black marker pens do not work
Just spent a tenner on oil paint tube' shit is nasty, it doesn't dry up even in the sun and creates a mess
What paint should I go for? Acrylic perhaps?

Acrylic paint sticks to silicone caulk. You should coat the caulk in a paintable caulk if you haven’t already.

Wtf is a silicone caulk??
Silicone caulk is 100% silicone. It's usually transparent/translucent and shiny. Regular painters caulk is around 10% silicone. It holds paint very well but it's not as waterproof as silicone.

Brian has the right answer. Between my post and his you should have everything you need.
Buy some paintable caulk and just apply a skim coat over the existing caulk. You can do that with your finger or a caulk squeegee.

Is this like a security camera?
You should probably get some hobby paint. Also I would remove the white silicone first, that would be the best way as paint doesnt really attach to silicone based things well.

Silicone gel is caulk. I’d go with acrylic, but if you have problems, put a layer of gesso where you want to paint, let it dry, and paint over it. These items will be available in the art section of a department store.

Fair enough.
If paint doesnt work/stick, have you considered a black decal wrap?
