Are these okay?
    #26853186 - 07/30/20 09:25 AM (3 years, 5 months ago)

This is my first attempt at spawning and the day after I created this coco coir/verm substrate I noticed white growth. It seemed to quick for mycelium, but maybe it was. I thought it might be cobweb mold so I sprayed it with hydrogen peroxide. I was about to give up when this morning i saw mushrooms. Can you tell me is the white growth mold and if it is, will these mushrooms be safe to eat? Thanks.

Looks okay to me, and a nice pinset. Definitely not cobweb, which is longer, wispier and grayer.

with a pinset like that i don’t think you have any contamination lol. your sub looks a little dry in parts tho, should always be glistening slightly with moisture!

It’s just mycelium colonizing the surface.
