Your flowhood is either not working or you are not using it correctly.
Make sure you are not working on the table surface of the hood.
You need to elevate the work surface several inches over the table with a rack or something, because the table surface has a lot of backwash of room air that is pulled up.
Make sure you are wearing a face mask and keeping your arms and hands washed and OUT OF THE PATH OF AIR.
Work at least 6" away from filter face.
Douse gloves with alcohol often.

There are many white molds and a lot look similar to tomentose cubensis mycelium. Could have just never been working with cube.
whatever mold it is must have a lot of spores on the mycelium to make a plate look like this just from transferring a wedge over. It's just covered everywhere. Doesnt really makes sense.
Since you say its just this strain doing this i'd have to say probably not technique or hood now.
cant help with an exact id though.

Forgive my ignorance, but assuming there are ess spores in there that are just being overrun by mold spores, isn’t there a technique with agar to separate the two? I think it’s called something like “sandwich tek” or something?
