agar noob. looking for opinions on myc growth

Hey everyone. I have been lurking around here for a very long time. grew a little about 15 years ago.
So i wanted to get back into cultivation. I made 18 agar plates. Just wondering what i am looking at? There is obvious trich on 3 plates, but the rest looks like tomentose myc?
Whats throwing me off is in the center of each growth it seems like a faint pink center.. im not sure if its just dense and looking that way.. or if i screwed up my agar mix? 4 different strains aswell. all showing the same. the edges are spreading evenly
Heres some pics . if anyone has any insight on what im looking at here i definately appreciate any help i can get!
thanks!

hey thanks for the reply.
inoculated with a spore syringe. i tried to put one drop in the middle. but some got more and then ran all over the top of the agar. why it looks messy.
its just in the center of each myc growth looks pinkish. but im thinking it could just be the agar colour through the myc.
i will be doing a few more transfers. just wanted to make sure im on the right track and not transferring mold lol. never did agar before.
thanks!

well looks like im going to start over. everything turned pink. every strain. every plate. Although they all did smell like myc/mushrooms. Most my dishes parafilm broke open few spots somehow. guessing this may be the cause.
the GT are still white.. but looks more like fuzzy mold to me then MYC.
spore syringe to agar is proving to be a pain.
really not sure where i went wrong to have every plate go through the same failure.. different suppliers... different strains.

Streak your plates. Then transfer asap for MS plates. Doing those two things with MS plates can increase success pretty considerably

Can you do streaking without an inoculation loop?

You could use a sterilized q-tip or just make a loop with some thin wire (bread ties work)

these 2 plates all i kept from first run. They both seem to have some decent myc i could transfer. but they do seem to both have some sort of contams. Not too worried about these as i made 20 more yesterday and streaked them.
on all my plates i had good myc growth.but i waited to long to transfer and other contams grew with it. lesson learned.
see how this next batch goes. ill transfer from these 2 old plates too see what i get.

This is how I do it and it works very well. It's actually about the only way it has worked for me

If your trying to outrun contams keep the temperatures cooler, like 68-72. if you are using incubation temps (80-83) then your contams may outrun your myc.

No reason to put your plates in the fridge. It will just cause condensation issues.
