How do you guys harvest these? They rip up the casing so I’ve been just bending them down to the sub until they snap and leave weird looking stump craters.

So it came in at 138g. I’m gonna assume a quarter ounce dry based on the jams.

Then I want to put this up for people thinking about getting into pans. I have very low humidity so I get a lot of evaporation but you don’t need a crazy chamber to pull off a half decent grow.

It’s not pretty but it works. That’s two shoeboxes in an underbed tub with a sheet of plastic over them and a fogger fed in there. Jar in the middle to keep the plastic raised up. Usually I’ll keep a tiny bit of the back corners open to get air flowing through half the day.

Don’t mind the excessive dog hair :uhoh:

Well fam my beginners luck finally ran out.
Summer finally just hit  two weeks ago. It was over 80 many days and hitting 90 on some.
I lost 3 of 4 trays to trich right before fruiting :bestcry:
One Rain Euc tray survived but after six days still no pins. I installed an AC unit a few days ago to bring the heat down but it also significantly brought the humidity down. I soaked the tray down and started hand misting. I got some pins to come up but nothing to write home about.

I'll get some fruits and some more prints but I am going to have to take everything down and clean it out now
Laminar flow hood will be done soon so I think I'll empty out the whole room clean it up and start fresh. Luckily the high temps only usually last a week or 2 around here. Nice work everyone, great to see so many pan grows!

This rain euc is one aggressive pan. I did a biopsy into 250ml lc and let sit 4 days before a 5min stir on the plate. Next day I did another stir and the whole jar was like a snow globe.

Another question from these plates, about 10 days after inoculation: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26846333#26846333

There's an orange shape on the second picture, it isn't showing up in the thumbnail for me though. Does that look like the type of growth I'm looking for? The growths are so crowded at this point that I don't plan on making any transfer plates from these, just trying to learn. I have a new set of germ plates from a few days ago that are showing growth that has much better separation so far.

You might be able to pull something from there, but you might be
looking at many more transfers to clean that up. I think it would
be faster to start over and try to get something nicer.

Hey everyone, I got my first Pan on a tray that I thought was lost but cased anyways.

A day later I saw these growing on the tray.

Any idea what these are? They resemble oysters.

Maybe an invasive species of some kind.

Looks sorta like the enigma fins.
