Is it okay to have more substrate than the grain?

I only got two half pint jar of grain spawn that's colonizing at the moment. As of now, I think it's 70% colonization.
Anyways, is it possible to have more substrate than grain spawn? I just wanna make sure before I actually do it. I'm kind of afraid to do it without any guidance from people with a lot of experience.
The substrate I'm planning on using is Verm, coco coir, and a bit of calcium sulphate food grade.
If it's not recommend to use too many substrate. Can anyone help me with ratio'ing my grain spawn to my substrate mix? Is it 2:2? 2:3? And how about jar tekking it? Does it have to be 2 half pint jar full of mix substrate to 2 half pint jar of boiling water? (2:2)
Gonna use jar since I only got got a very few quantity.
Still trying a very few resources so if I butchered the first batch, I still have some spare.

You typically want more sub than spawn.
Most use a 1:2 ratio 1qt spawn:2qt sub
You can do 1:1 or up to 1:4 or more if you want. It's up to you. I do in the ballpark of 1:2.5

Do you think it will fit in 18L of monotub? And do you suggest mixing it instead of the lasagna style before topping it up with the substrate again?
I did edit the link. Now it's viewable those half pint jars can hold up to 100ml.
Just wanna make sure so I can prepare for tomorrow.

That`s only just enough for a shoebox, as you just have 1/2 quart of spawn.
For ratio you always have the "1" at first instance. The 1 stands for the amount of spawn you have, and always stays 1. No matter how much, that`s 100%. So you have 1/2qt spawn, and you should go for a ratio 1:3, to get some height in the box.
Means: 1(1/2qt spawn): 3(1,5qt substrate)
Hope that helps a bit. You may also look here: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26009662
