More bad news for survivors that had even mild symptoms.
I climbed a mountain just the other day. Heart seems fine.
I'm glad to here it, but feeling fine and having organ damage from the virus are two different issues.
I think the real point here is that just looking at this virus as survival or death is a completely misguided approach. We're starting to realize it's a lot more complicated than just the percentage of deaths.

The flu damages organs in the body, good thing our bodies have this awesome regenerative function.
It let's you do drugs and recover after even after doing a whole lot of them and damaging your organs.

My mother is now close to 5 months out from her suspected covid, systemic inflammation has enveloped multiple organs and is pressing on her aorta. Stents had to be put in her kidneys and liver, liters of fluid drained from her lungs, she's down to like 90lbs because she can't eat. None of the hospitals know what to do.
The fact that she had serious covid synmptoms for 2 weeks right when covid started popping up here, had residual fluid in her lungs not connected to the inflammation, after the initial symptoms she started having issues with all the organs covid is known to effect, and doctors don't know what is causing it makes it pretty clear what the cause is. There's no way to tie it back to COVID through testing though, so these types of experiences are mostly going unreported.

Turns out one of the GOP reps at yesterdays AG Barr hearing tested positive for Covid 19 today.
(also ) https://thehill.com/homenews/house/509543-gohmert-tests-positive-for-covid-19-report
"Gohmert, 66, has largely opted against wearing a mask around the Capitol during the pandemic...
On Tuesday, Gohmert attended the House Judiciary Committee's hearing with Attorney General Bill Barr. He walked around his colleagues in the hearing room and outside it without a mask.
Texas has been a hot spot for coronavirus, having some of the highest case counts in the country.
Gohmert has at times worn a facial covering while on Capitol Hill. But he has been among the handful of GOP lawmakers spotted on the House floor in recent weeks without a mask while mingling with colleagues.
Gohmert also attended at least two committee hearings on Capitol Hill — Judiciary and Natural Resources — on Tuesday before testing positive for the coronavirus..."
I hope he dosed his anti-mask GOP buddies real good with his Covid breath.

If anyone cares, the National Science Foundation board meeting is happening now. They're discussing more than Covid, but they're discussing covid too.
It lasts for 2 days and I'm contracting on it so I have to watch it. You can pop in and out as desired.

Covid isn’t the flu. Totally unrelated virus.

Well the source of COVID-19 actually is very important. We now have a virus that has vast economic impact and has completely changed our way of life. I spent days researching and reviewing all the data on COVID-19 including treatment options and even watched a 2 hour lecture on it.
COVID-19 is basically a new flu and the flu has a ton of impact on our lives already.
COVID essentially enters into the mucous linings, inflaming them and our bodies react by producing mucus thus why we have people getting pneumonia. The worst case is they start to get hypoxic and die.
The virus obviously "gained a function" either naturally or not. Any remedy would be something that prevents it from even entering the host cell. The lock and key model.
It's very hard for me to look at this virus and not think it was under study somewhere. Why does it like humans so much? why does it spread so easily from droplets?
Have you seen Bret Weinstein talk about it? this dude is no moron and throws out concrete evidence.

I can't see why the source is important in anything you say after this.
The source doesn't seem to be very important in all the other pandemics in history, so why this one?

It will only destroy what you are not. --Jac O'keeffe
