Where to get Lime
    #2685029 - 05/16/04 02:49 AM (13 years, 5 months ago)

Hi all,

I looked all around, the closest thing I found was dolomite, but I read that the magnisium was bad.

I found some calcium carbonate in powder form on a nutritional food website, can I use that?

I also found pickling lime. will that work?

So where do I go to get some lime? (I'm in the SF area if anyone has any sources.)

Thanks

The most economical is "Sodium Bicarbonate", Baking Powder.  Calcium Carbonate will work too, also a very good antacid for your tummy

Or go to a pet store and in the bird section, get crushed oyster shell. It's main ingredient is calcium carbonate which will work just fine.
