Atl#7 jars look funky? What's yours look like?

Hey I was trying to get an opinion of somebody that has grown Atl#7's. Both these jars look containamenated to me but I have only grown cubes and I know the myc on these will change colors and grow stones. I think it's a little quick for there to be stone's but what do I know. That's why I'm on here asking advice. They were both knock up on July 13 from a LC I made from what I thought was a clean piece of agar. I really didn't think it could get stones that fast and some of the brown spots are on the side of the jar and not in the substance. What do you think?

Those definitely look funky. Seems like there is way too much moisture inside.

I'm not quite sure why it shows the last 3 pictures but on the first 3 it has a link to a picture. I'm pretty sure I did the same thing. I think.

The Man. So you think that looks normal? Have you dealt with atl's? This is my first time with them. I really thought my agar was clean but it's only 2 weeks and it looks like stone's. I didn't think it would happen that fast. So I thought for sure something was wrong with them.

Ah I don't have experience with ATL though so it could definitely be different. Only speaking from experience with cubes that have looked like this with me before and they quickly got contams when I fruited them.

Thanks for the input. I definitely will let y'all know. What's the minimum you will wait to harvest stones? I know it's better to wait 3 months or so but I would like to figure out if these are ok before I use this Lc again. No point on wasting more jars.

see how they are looking in a week or 2. looks like they prob were kept pretty warm and growin fast. so if look super stoney crack one open. and if that means u will start more jars sooner as worried to waste grain may make sense for you worse case you just case and fruit them out. use the search engine read other grow logs.
cheers

Totally normal, those are truffles. LC can be fast af for making truffles, especially w this variety
Sounds like you have a good truffle culture
They will get really gnarly lookin after a few months

I feel a lot better now. After looking at some other pictures and c10h you have some crazy dark colors in that picture. That's kind of what mine looks like. Do they smell different when you crack the jar open? They definitely look different. I just made some more jars up. I let the grain dry a bit more this time. Last time might have been a little wet but I guess I'll try doing a few more and see how they turn out. I might try to drop a couple different agar wedges in and see if it looks any different. I have 11 more jars. I'll try a few different cultures. I have one dish that turned bright orange. I wonder how that one will do?

Orange plates usually produce lots of stones

I'm definitely going to transfer the orange plate. Let see if I can get more orange plates. And test some on grain.
