Cubensis - My first flush, are they weird or OK?

Hi all fantastic people! Just started growing and finished my first flush and I'm looking for some feedback on whether these boys are normal
A bit of context: I aired and misted for a couple of days without results so I thought I blew it. I went away for a week and when I came back it was growing! I'm thinking this may explain some of the weirdness of some of them.
(The white crystals are vermiculite and some of the photos have different color and exposure due to camera settings.)

Looks pretty normal to me other than the second to last pic looks kind of slimy on the inside. I would maybe trash that one but the rest look great. I would have harvested them a bit sooner but they still eat just fine also scrape off the perlite before eating lol you don’t want to crunch down on a piece of hard perlite. Your tub also looks soaked, maybe spray a bit less.

Also try not soaking the actual fruit bodies. It should have jar lids or foil to make a barrier between the cakes and the perlite as well.

Thanks a lot guys.
Still learning and improving. Will add an insulation layer beneath the cakes next round!

Remember the perlite is there to keep the humidity up. You don’t need to spay as much if any. What is you light source?

Ok. I spray 3-4 times a day now. And no holes in the box but airing 3-4 times. (The first holed box dried everything out very quickly, it was the closed boxes that produced the first batch).
Light is just a ~40w equiv LED in the ceiling IIRC in a storage room slightly warmer than room temperature. Two boxes are all transparent and one has tin-foil on the sides since I read somewhere that the light should come "from the top". But so far it doesn't seem to have any noticeable effect.

I didn't notice when I first looked but that fruiting chamber needs to have 1/4" holescovering all 6 sides spaced in a grid pattern 2" apart. That's what we call a SGFC. For the perlite to do its job it needs the holes so evaporation can take place and bring up the humidity in your fruiting chamber.
Edit: didn't see that last post, my bad.

Yeah, it's looking overly wet and stagnant in there for sure. Make a proper SGFC.

The direction the light comes from doesn't matter. Shrooms aren't plants. As for a SGFC getting too dry I'd say you need to fix that problem instead of dropping it altogether. Maybe the perlite layer wasn't deep enough?
