Agar - sectors not touching each other or contamination?

Hey guys. These are texan multispore 4 transfers away from spore. I've never seen anything like this. The sectors look like they're not touching each other with gaps of uncolonized agar between them. Is this normal behavior or is there some hidden contamination causing this? In the second pic you can see where the gap formed and as the culture grew out it closed in around it. Strange.. Not sure if this is safe to drop or if I should keep tranferring. Aside from the gaps it looks healthy..

I have only seen myc split due to meeting with bacterial spot. Sometimes it's not visible but if area of myc around it is yellowing from antibiotic secretion then sure you got a contam there.

Yea there's no yellowing. It looks like totally healthy myc that is just splitting. And would that be bacteria already present on the agar rather than something in the culture? It seems like it grows out totally healthy and fine then suddenly splits around a given area..

If there is no signs at all on bottom side then someone with more plates under belt needs to tell what's going on. Maybe some rare genetic trait? I've browsed most agar threads when learning and don't remember anyone talking about this. Would like to know too.

There's no signs on the bottom. It looks super clean really aside from gaps between the sectors. You can even see fine myc threads reaching over the gap and touching each other. Strange. Like you I've never seen this before. Oh and check this out, these are the 4th transfer away from spore. The 2 and 3rd transfers weren't doing this gap thing at all. And multiple different plates on the 4th transfer are doing it and some aren't...
I'll have my girlfriend take illuminated pics later from the front and back so you can see the gaps and myc threads very clearly. Her camera is fancy and I don't know how to use it
