Orange blotches on top of lophw

Hey all, I’ve got some orange spots that just showed up on my cacti in the past day or so. I put them outside to get some extra sun. I live in a very hot, humid and rainy area but they were not left in the rain. I’m pretty worried. I’ve been raising these for almost 4 years from seeds. My question is what is it and what should I do? Any help or suggestions would be super appreciated. Thanks

I just removed them from the pots. The soil was really moist. Last time I watered them was a week ago and I water once every 3 weeks in the summer. Also another spot lower down.

My lophs normally turn purple when they sun burn. My guess is there staying to wet. What kind of soil mix do u use?

Blurry picture but it looks like a kind of surface fungus or skin disease. I have something similar on Mammillarias from time to time. Let them dry a bit.

I use miracle grow cactus mix with sand and crushed limestone and limestone pebbles. Now that I think about the last time I watered them I didn’t make sure they drained out the bottom of the pot properly. I have an anti fungus I use on my fruit trees that contains captan. Do you think it’s safe for cacti or should I just let them dry up a bit un potted?

Lose the miracle grow and mix your own soil for cactus, don't use peat moss. Captan is a good fungicide and widely used in agriculture, it's non-systemic and while I wouldn't breath / eat it, its surprisingly safe.

try to keep them as dry as possible. Here’s a pretty good Lophophora soil mix

Thanks for all the advice. I’m going to let them dry and repot in a week minus the miracle grow. Super appreciate all the responses!!!
