Brf Cakes to Coir/Verm monotub, dark pins growing...
    #26846469 - 07/26/20 05:12 PM (3 years, 6 months ago)

I am still relatively new to this process but not my first time. I have two tubs at the moment and they both look worse than my first ones. Both I have been struggling to dial them in. The first pins began appearing about 3-4 days ago and was put into fruiting conditions two days ago.
I have been monkeying around with the polyfil, it seems tight on the bottom and extremely loose on top. Prior to today I was making due with cotton balls that I unrolled and stuffed into the holes. This is frustrating because I am not sure what the timeline for change looks like so I do not know when I should expect to see improvement or if I am messing with it too much.
PS these are both brf/verm cakes spawned to coir/verm.
Tub 1: This tub seem to have dark pins with white flecks on top that I am guessing are aerial myc.

Tub 2: This one had probably a dozen mushies that grew short and skinny as if they were trying to escape the CO2 rich bottom. Once I picked those this morning I loosened the cotton balls and replaced it with polyfil when I got my hands on it this afternoon.

Thanks in advance.

Try using Pastys micropore tek to dial it in. Game changer compared to messing around with polyfill
