Storing Pink Oyster Liquid Culture

I grow my liquid culture in a pint jar. Once the mycelium grows to about the size of a golf ball I store the pint jars in a refrigerator which slows the growth and is my hope will keep the mycelium active for 6 to 12 months. However, my pink oyster mycelium which is a warm weather mushroom and I have been told stored it in a refrigerator will kill the mycelium. So my pink oyster liquid culture is stored in an air-conditioned room. The pink oyster mycelium has grown to be a mass that occupies more than 50% of the pint jar.
Will the mycelium stop growing once this consumes the Karo syrup that’s in the water?
Is there a better way to store pink oyster liquid culture?

Cubensis is a warm weather mushroom and survives just fine in the fridge.

Well that sucks, mine are in the fridge right now. I had heard that you shouldn’t store them in the fridge but put them in anyway as leaving them out at room temperature over the summer didn’t seem ideal to me either. I better get them out and check on them ASAP!!

I have pink oyster spawn in fridge for 4 months now, last week put one grain on agar and it's growing fine. My fridge is on 4°C.
