Pressure cooker size/brand name?

Hey! Hope everyone’s enjoying their Saturday night! What does everyone use for a pressure cooker? Looking at buying a 16 qt T-Fal and was wondering if anyone knew the brand or has worked with that size? It supposedly holds 7 one quart jars so to me that’s lots.

I wouldn't get anything less than a Presto 23 quart. And I would get 2 of them if I were you.

All the PCs are sold out cuz everyone is canning food due to COVID
I just checked and they’re gone again but I was able to snag a presto 23qt for 90$ shipped on A. Good luck. Check your local marketplace sites n apps

That’s hilarious I totally didn’t even think of that. Well shit did I ever pick the worst time to buy a pressure cooker lmao. I found one but with shipping it’s $200 so maybe I’ll just wait till they come out with more on A or some other marketplace. Thank you!

I've seen them in stock at like 5 different local stores. You just gotta look around.

I'm also having trouble finding a pressure cooker. I'll try looking around locally but online seems to be pretty dry.

Yeah this is pretty crazy. I was able to snatch an all American off Ebay last month. I've just been keeping track and they seem to be literally nowhere. Wonder what's going on. Ya'll really think people are canning because of coronavirus?

I think people are canning because its canning season. Also everything got shut down for awhile, so production probably ceased.

If you think finding a PC is bad, I'm have quart and half pint jars on order for three weeks and they keep not being on the stores delivery truck. Also can't find perlite or coir anywhere in store; what's the deal with THAT?

I was able to find perlite on amazon for a reasonable price. However, when I ordered my half-pint jars (also on amazon), I ended up paying a little bit more for them. However, I've seen in-store some regular sized mason jars at Ace Hardware I think.

I spoke to presto around a month ago and was told they will start stocking up on 23qts in august.
Until then I found a 16qt presto at tractor supply. I prefer the presto to tfal because the 16qt tfal doesn't have a pressure gauge.
