Very enjoyable, anyone else notice similarities between this movie and There Will Be Blood?

Dude! I saw this around when it came out, but really forgot it had existed until I saw surfing Netflix the other day. I watched it again. Excellent stuff. Jessica Chastain is an elite, A plus talent, and the leading dude in the film was excellent also.

Fargo 10/10
I've seen it a bunch of times, and it just gets better and better. I think this is the Coen brothers' second-best effort after No Country for Old Men. Both are essentially flawless films.

Yeah when I see that A24 at the beginning I always know I'm in for a unique ride
I think the first A24 film I ever saw was Enemy. I saw it tripping and it was quite the experience on a dose. Then I saw Green Room after that and I was sold on A24.

Yeah, I'm not going to lie...If I see the A24 at the start I already kinda like it...
I'm pretty sure one of the first A24 films I saw was The Witch followed shortly after by Hereditary. Both changed my view on what a horror movie could do.
Since then, I've seen Enemy, A Most Violent Year, Ex Machina, The End of the Tour, The Lobster, part of A Ghost Story, Moonlight, It Comes At Night, The Killing of a Sacred Deer, First Reformed, Midsommer, The Lighthouse and Uncut Gems.
and every one of those movies I loved, except The Lighthouse and A Ghost Story.
Talking about all these good movies makes me want to watch one later tonight...
I'm thinking about Into The Forest or The Monster

I still need to see Ex Machina. Did you get a chance to see Alex Garland's (who alrso created Ex Machina) series "Devs"? On FX/Hulu? Terrific little mini series.
I hope to watch Uncut Gems really soon. Just need to set aside a couple hours and do it. I need to watch It Comes At Night again also.
Definitely put Green Room on your list when you can, GD.

Night of the Kickfighters (aka Night Raiders) (1991) 7/10
You know, I go through a lot of bad films in an attempt to find little gems of superbly entertaining cinematic garbage, kinda like dumpster diving. This film is an example of one of these gems. Imagine if you will, a movie that that seems like a Lifetime Network attempt at making an action film. Adam West's daughter gets kidnapped and our kickboxing champion of a hero assembles a team, consisting of a Fred Williamson wannabe, Otto from The Simpsons and a magician named Aldo, to get her back. You have to see it to believe it.

Magic Lizard (aka King-Ka Kayasit) (1985) 6/10
This is a totally bonkers film that has it all: Ultra-man type martians, roller-skating lizards, giant mosquitoes, talking skeletons, ect. I do not think an english-dubbed version exists and the voice of the lizard is high-pitched and will drive you insane after a while. It would be the perfect movie to put on with chums drinking late-night with the movie audio muted and paired up with an album of your choosing.
Pin (1988) 7/10
This is a really creepy film, the fabric that nightmares are made from. I would love to see a David Lynch directed version of this.

Into the Forest 6/10
A survival tale that was more about the bonds of sisterhood then survival. Some of the scenes seemed hasty while others felt drawn out. Overall, I enjoyed the movie however it was nothing special.

Alien Space Avenger (1989) 6/10
From the director of Toxic Avenger and Class of Nuke 'Em High comes Alien Space Avenger! In fact, the aliens look like the same creature that Chrissy pukes up in Nuke 'Em High and makes the same noises. This movie is over-the-top violent with a heavy kill count and is full of TROMA style gore.
