Is a big plastic container suitable for cultivation? 1

Hi everyone!
I've managed to cultivate my first batch some months ago but used some small plastic trays filled with the substrate. Although it was a pretty nice batch I've found they were all pretty small, no bigger than 14cm approximately. Would using a plastic container like the one in t he image below help? Because I read that the size can correlate with the container depth.

14 cm is like 5.5 inches. That's a pretty normal sized cube.
You can try to do bigger grows or especially outdoor grows or try to find a clone that produces giant fruits if that's what you're after. They are cool to grow but a pain in the dick to store and if you're growing MS and you have dry mushrooms that are a whole trip in themselves you will probably find some that are bunk eventually.
The tub you show would work fine but if you make your substrate depth too deep it won't work out to well either. Too much internal heat I think.

Thanks for the answer! Honestly I don't know how the method I used is called because I've learned from some girls in a workshop in spanish where I live and then learned about those techniques which will probably try. What I basically did was using glass jars with sterilized rice and then once colonized passed everything to the plastic trays with hummus and perlite where they fructified. I think it'd be Grain Bulk.

Thank you very much! Not really looking to grow giant mushrooms but it was pretty tiresome managing many small trays and I figure it'd be easier if I just use a big container for all of them. For my next bulk I'd like to get around 30g (got 16g from the last one).
Gonna save those links and give them a read, thanks again m8.

That is a bulk method but not the best or most efficient I'd imagine. Check out some of the stuff on those links but the basics for bulk growing is starting spores on agar, transferring from agar to sterilized grain (rice can work but is more difficult to use than wheat, rye, wild bird seed, oats) and once the grain os colonized you spawn to a bulk substrate in shoe boxes or a monotub. The most common bulk sub for cubensis is a mixture of coco coir and vermiculite.
Coir is very resistant to contamination and you can prep it easily without needing to properly pasteurize it.
Edit - just saw your comment. Growing in this way you're looking at around 1oz dry per qt jar used from the first flush. Then another oz or two per qt over the next flush or two. That's pretty standard but working with agar and getting a good culture you can pull even more than that per qt.
