Why does P. Cubensis not grow in Victoria, Australia?

Is anyone able to explain why P. Cubensis doesn't grow in Victoria, Australia during the warmer months of the year? Or, has anyone ever discovered Cubensis in Victoria?

I believe they have been sited closer to the border (NSW/Vic). I wouldn't get too bummed out about it, P subs are definitely better in my opinion.

Not that im aware of, but Panaeolus cyanescens was found in Victoria this year which fruit in similair conditions to cubes. Anything is possible. In other words check cow pats if you can!
Oh and P Cubes favour subtropical/tropical climates whereas Victoria is Oceanic climate.

I admit i have never seen them but I do know of a local who lives on border who says he has but they are rare. Not sure if he was bullshitting or not.

Yeah, it's just a climate thing. Subaeruginosa loves the oceanic and cubes love the tropical.

Seems like chasing Subs would be easier than cubes as I imagine issues with being on private property come up (farmers who run livestock). Whereas with subs they are in public places.

I agree subs are definitely easier to find/more bang for your buck than cubes, it's just annoying that you can only hunt actives in the Melbourne area for a few months of the year, and being able to hunt for cubes would make things a little bit more exciting.

I guess there's always other psychedelics to grow if you get really bored?
