It could be as simple as genetics or bacterial contamination. Are you using agar or going strait from spore syringe to grain jars?

shouldnt be contamination all works done under a flow hood with agar in a sterile room. genetics are golden teacher hybrid so its possible but the previous totes they grew amazing large robust and full canopy that spanned the entire tote.

Was you substrate at field capacity? Or over capacity? Do you have any pictures? It could be a lot of different things but I doubt it’s because of a larger room. Is it MS or a clone? Also I recommend using micropore tape.

this is a previous tote same genetics same routine but warmer conditions smaller room less air flow generated because no air conditioner was in other room.

It could definitely be from being to dry. To upload a picture go to your pictures click upload then choose files and either take a picture or upload from your photo library. Then go to the picture and click the url and it will automatically copy it then just past it to your post

It doesn’t look to dry from the pic. I see moisture beads on the substrate. If it’s multi spore it could just be poor genetics even if it was from the same spores. Sometimes you transfer from a bad area on a agar plate and that’s all it takes.

see i think that you could be right with that theory, as i took these from a spore print transferred to agar multiple times until i accomplished a clean sample then it went to jars. so the original genetics could have been a crap shot to begin with i have a new Brazil strain just transferred from agar to jars so hoping it yields out better results. and ive yet to try the micro pore tape i should try that. read good things on it. i appreciate the link

Yeah MP take is the shit I’ll never use Polyfil ever again. Don’t give up on that tub just yet though sometimes you will get a bomb ass second flush after a poor first flush.

ill have to order some this weekend and give it a shot. and im hoping i can maybe hydrate it a bit on the second flush they are a bit dry and pulling away from the sides of the tote already so that tells me they are a bit dry this early in.

Yeah just spray the shit out of it after you harvest or pour enough water in the tub to make it float and leave it for a hr or so then drain it.

now here is a question and its something ive done new this time around. the light,.........its a 600watt LED grow light with a vegetative stage and a bloom stage the light was set to bloom for these totes.......would different spectrum's of light affect the growth?
see with marijuana (and many other plants) different light spectrum's effect the plant during its vegetative stage and bloom stage as in nature so in theory i figured using the bloom setting during FEA and 12/12 light cycle would work better because it replicates the light spectrum of fall or of a flowering plant so figured this would carry over to mushrooms as well. or im overthinking and going crazy lol
