How's this jar look to you? I'd like to try out G2G with it to get a feel on the process and snag a few grains for agar.

This jar actually smells good through the filter, can't say the same for one of my other jars...it's not as bright on the white as this jar either and it has a strong sweet smell to it....keeping a close eye on it.
I'm thinking I should probably just start a journal lol

It looks a little strange but honestly all of my jars looked weird to me when I used oats. It was tougher to tell what was good so I went by smell as well. I’d say try it out if you’re willing but looking back at your earlier pics idk.
They look kinda sketch and all those satellites in your agar plates means you’re letting something in at some point in your sterile procedures. G2G offers a plethora of opportunities to let something bad in.

Satellites are probably from leaving the plates unwrapped in the SAB overnight? I had something come up mid work that couldn't wait and was exhausted when I got back. Also wondering if the fans in the attached room are causing issues, my have to move to a different spot in the house if that's the case
Not really attached to those jars, I was mainly keeping myself busy while learning agar. Read that the sweet smell could be bacterial? I may give the jar I pictured a go but the one that smells weird is getting tossed, none of the others smell like it.
Thanks for the help

T2s getting ready for T3. I think moving my room helped out a lot, the room I was working in was a pain in the ass to clean.
