NE US Light Brown Capped Amanita

I went walking below the adirondacks today and found a group of light brown capped amanitas with white veil remnants on the cap. It was growing under a maple tree with birch, beech and other hardwoods nearby. Pine is also in the area.
It appeared to grow from the ground near the roots of the tree on the edge of a creek. It rained a quarter of an inch yesterday and today it has been in the 80s. Last night it was in the low 60s.
I can't yet see the gills because the fruiting bodies are too young. The stem was 2 inches in length, 0.75 in in diameter and was white. It had a slightly rough texture. The cap was 2 inches in diameter. The mushroom did not bruise after rough handling. Does anyone know what species this is?

Looks like Amanita Pantherina. It is not native in north america, but there are a few cases when it was found in Canada.

Really looks like Pantherina because of the pure white bottom part of the stem. Similar species like Excelsa and Rubescens have either scales or colors on that part.

Thanks for your input, Jatzan. BTW the gills are definitely white. The mushrooms were growing in groups of 2-3 fruiting bodies per group with more fruiting beneath the soil / leaves. There were at least 2 other groups of them growing 1.5-2.5 feet (0.609 meters) away near other trees.

Lab time
If you have hydrochloric acid handy, you can check whether it turns blue a little bit. Its a poor-mans non-conclusive test for amatoxins. Since all amanita sp contain the toxin in various trace amounts https://febs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/pdf/10.1016/0014-5793(76)80252-9
https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.3109/15563658008989969?journalCode=ictx18
If there are only negligible trace amounts, it should turn a bit blue-ish in 20 mins. If it has larger amounts, it will color faster.
