I’ve literally never seen a grow with cobweb in the 10 months I’ve been on here constantly. I thought I got some when I started agar but it was pin mold.

3.25L (3.4 qt) water to 650g coir
Yes, it seems dry the first time you do it. No, it’s not actually too dry. Take a handful of the saturated and mixed coir, squeeze the hell out of it, and you’ll get the drips of water confirming field capacity.
There’s no need to wait for fruiting conditions unless the tub tek you’ve chosen demands it. Pasty EZ Tubs (which I recommend) or Bod Unmodified goes straight to fruiting and works beautifully.

Well would a whole extra quart and a half of water and a couple days extra being fully colonized cause a tragedy? Lol i hope these guys are thirsty enough to pull through. Any way to safely drain the excess pooling underneath the liner or will it evaporate pretty quickly?

I wouldn’t. It’s a fine line and if you dry the surface out and it gets matted it’s dead. No coming back. If it’s pooling then you can use the corner of a paper towel to soak up some of the liquid. But if it’s just beads of moisture then they are fine, maybe a small increase in airflow at that point.
