Preparing WBS for bags

I have been having a hell of time getting grain. I found a feed store nearby that will order for me, but lately they have been telling me day of, that the mill didn't have it or it'll be another few days...then repeat..after calling everyday to be sure it was on his order
I was told the wheat i bought in May is out of season now till Aug but they could get rye...
then last week it was delayed...today I should have gone to pick it up, I call and he says he has to run up Saturday to pick it up
I have lost faith and am not holding out for this weekend as I have a bunch of LC ready to go.
I have a bag of oats and well...I don't like them much. I plan on getting a bag of WBS today, gonna try and find a single grain like red sorghum or millet, but Ill be at TSCs mercy as far as options...might just be a big white bag of Value Mix lol
The actual question: I am pry overthinking this, but should I prep the WBS any differently for the bags then I would for the jars? I know moisture content is much more important with bags, and I was loading my WBS wet in jars with my 24hr soak method. Does working with a mix matter compared to single grain?
Any recommendations are appreciated
*I sound retarded, while using the search function I have now learned that red sorghum is the same thing as milo, idk what millet is lol

picking up the value mix on my way home from work. been using the search function, looks like Verm has been running WBS in bags with no prob. My biggest concern is about how dry they need to be before loading bags and PC'ing
I load the jars a tad wet cause I know it'll get absorbed in cycle
also, if anyone could shed some light on this for me:

I get confused around what this is?
On my lids i have a hole with sfd over it, and another hole i put one of those heavy duty rubber SHIPS. I got timid when I went to use it tho, as it seemed to require quite a bit of force to get the needle to pierce thru. I opted for opening the jar and at an angle aspirating to syringe. I really would rather do it with lid on the whole time lol. what does that syringe filter I quoted do? Does it act like my SFD or do you suck up the LC thru that?
an example of my lids:

might as well doc my attempt here.
Torn between a 12-24 hour soak, or a long steep
If I don't get any feedback, I'll likely go with the 12-24 hour soak. Strain and try to get the grain as dry as possible on the outside

Alrighty then, so on the way home I picked up this 35# bag of WBS:

Had a bit of..everything in it, including cracked corn

After a little reading from a couple years old, I decided it wasn't a deal breaker.
Seed was split between two 5 gal buckets, then was rinsed about 4 or 5 times. I added a little dawn dish soap to the mix during the rinsing, and allowed it to stay soapy in the soak water Hope dats okay

So here they be:
Started soak around 11:30pm, I'll dump them, boil some water to dump over them for a steam dry around 6pm tmr. Then hopefully we're G2B (good to bag)
oh, and whoever posted about this beer the other day:
good shit, I am officially a fan and excited for a cool media bottle

back at it. Came home and dumped out 1 of the 2 buckets around 530pm. Boiled some water and poured that over the grain and left to steam dry

Took the fam out for a nice walk
Came back round 930pm and the grain was good enough dry to me, that it got bagged up ( so 4 hour dry time )

I pre-seal these .5 micron filter patch bags, wrapped the bottom two in foil and stack them in 2 rows, 3 high in my presto 23qt
running for 3 hours while the 2nd bucket has been dumped and waiting to steam dry

How do they look after sterilizing? I went from WBS to oats and was so happy to never deal with cracked corn again that I’m curious to see what you think though.
Just a thought, if he says the mill doesn’t have it, that means there’s a mil somewhere near you that sells your grain cheaper and more reliably than your feed store guy

lol cutting out middlemen is my favorite activity.
I’m sure you know now but millet is those tiny little yellow balls.
Do you like bags more than jars?? I’ve been thinking about trying some out.

I just pulled them out of the PC so they are still looking kinda wet till the bags air back up

Ill have a better pic in a day or so.
I know whatcha mean about the mill, I have tried googling local mills and they tell me they can get what I want but don't carry it. The guy said he goes down to Columbus which is about a 3 hour drive for me...

lol no I actually never did look to see what millet was, but thanks for clearing it up! I like the bags for the volume, I can run 6 (4qt) bags in one cycle in the presto vs 10qts in jars
and I have been liking LC a lot lately , so its cool to noc up 6 bags for 6 monos in one go

Damn so 24 quarts instead of 10 huh.
That’s definitely worth it.

How many pounds of WBS to each grow bag? And how long does it take to be ready for substrate using LC?

not sure on lbs, but it was 4 quarts to each bag Using LC generously, about 20-30cc per bag, I have had them finish in a week or just under

20cc - 30cc. Is that like 2 - 3 syringes?

Do not try to aspirate through the syringe filter. It's meant for gas exchange when used on lc lids and people like them cause theyre waterproof and allow you to shake your lc if using lids that seal.
Their industrial use is to filter solutions. You fill a syringe with a solution to be filtered, put the syringe filter on the syringe, and push the solution through the filter. They can nearly sterilize a solution since theyre rated at .2nm
