mycelium On Lids

Hi, I was wondering if my friends first cakes that he was about to birth when i seen some growth on the lid when he opened them can he just put that back on a jar of grain seed ect.that has pc and ready for innocultaion? and should that work to start new jars? :confused:

If you are doing pf cakes the top verm layer should brush away easily. Even if thier is mycellium in it, its not getting nutrients from the verm so just scoop it out. Mycelium colonzing the dry verm layer is normal.

i dont see why it wouldnt work. but being such a small amount it would probably take longer to colonize than usual

Just a update! it works great. i brirthed to as soon as i took the lid off i swiched it with some millet jars i had pc the night before the lid transfer just blew up in 2 days..peace

just update birthed all ready 12days for 100% just noticed though was a lot of myc bld up on the lids at the time i birthed the secound time..
