Mexicana and Tamp Questions, Is this Clean Growth?

Greetings all!
So I have some mexicana, tamp., and ATL 7, and B going for my first grow.
I started them on pasty no pour agar and thought the ATL looked contam free. But now the master jar has a yellowish hue to the webbed growth and it is not near like the B master jar I have, which I am sure is clean.
I just wanted to know if this is how the ATL 7 strain should look when colonizing a jar for sclerotia?
Lastly, I also have Mexicana going in petris from 7.6 but I haven't transferred to grain because each of my petris keep forming these brown stone like things.. is this contaminated or is this early formation of stones?
I haven't done any isolation because I was concerned about contams through opening and cutting a slice from the petri when the growth looked clean to start, but maybe I should be taking this route.
Plz help a noooob
Thank you

Its normal for the stone producing varieties to turn a brownish color and then make stones. But its near impossible to tell if your cultures are clean because of not doing a transfer to a new plate so you can observe the mycelium growing outward.

Okay, so for the transfers, I should just use a sterilized exacto blade and cut out the first sign of mycelium on the plate?
This will result in easier to see growth?
You aren't able to tell from the plates themselves if they have cantams if transfers aren't done?
On my mexicana plates do you think the brown is just early forming sclerotia?
Thank you for your assistance.

Usually you always do at least one transfer (most of the time multiple) from the germination plate. You need to see organized growth from one spot to confirm they are clean. Your pics are fine. The whole reason you are doing agar is to get clean growth, or why not just put the spores direct to grain.
