Very beginner, need help!

Hello guys!
I’m a beginner shroom hunter, and ever since(approx. a week ago) I’ve found out that there could be potential magic mushrooms in my surroundings I became very excited!
Yesterday, I went out to the hardwood forest to check for possible spots where there could be mushrooms growing in the feature.

It’s still summer here, so I knew I will not find any shrooms, but I’d like to know what do you guys think about the spots that I’ve found, any tips or advice that could possibly help me identify the good places look for.

Here you will find a few pics about the general forest, about wood chips, and about, what I think, could be possibly mycelium?
Could that white stuff be mycelium? Does it even show in summer?
Do you think this would be a good habitat for shrooms to grow? If yes, what species can I expect to find?
If I bring out there some alder mulch without putting in spores before bringing it out, would there be any chance that cyanescens would pop out in the autumn?

Any and all answers greatly appreciated! Thank you !

I have been hunting actively for a whole year, every weekend and after every rainfall. Covered a bunch of mountains, forests and pastures. Found almost every kind of edible mushroom that grows in here, alas no actives

So, from my experience, infestation with the right spores or an already existing mycelium network is what defines a great spot.

I completely agree with you, that would be the BEST spot, but as I am starting from literally 0, I’m mainly curious if that is actually mycelium or not, wether active or not, just so I can get a better understanding about the whole mushroom thing, and just to know if my thinking is correct about the habitats I am looking for. When I find my first mushroom, I plan to take the spores from it and spray it aaaaaall over the place.

Hey mate that’s still amazing! Mushrooms are a fascinating and unique life form, I’d be happy if I found any kind of them! Keep it up, I’m pretty sure that, sooner or later, we will have our luck!

That does look like an awesome spot where mushrooms would grow!
Its just really hard to tell whether that is mycelium or something else. Or even if it is mycelium, whether it is the right kind and has all the needed nutrients.
Just be prepared to start loving long walks in the forest/pastures  until you find something.

Best of luck man, and please double and tripple check anything that you find.

Thanks mate!
This was actually my first long walk in the nature in a while, and I have to say it was incredibly refreshing and I’m looking forward for the next one!
Will do, and thank you! Good luck to us and all shroomers here.
